No post for about half a year. Why? Simply, because nothing real shocking happened. For my Euro I got about $1.31 to 1.34 and ¥131 to ¥133. Only recently it seems the Euro has increased a slightly bit in rate. It's the second time I see both the $ above $1.35 and the ¥ above the ¥1.35.
Did it give me some benefits? Well, a long waited series of watches has come out and I bought two of this series. They were not cheap, so I hoped for a good Currency Rate.
Two Watches, ¥ 80000.
Currency Rate: €1.- = ¥128.1550
Price Paid: €624.25
Check out what this would have cost me a year ago, where the rate was around €1.- = ¥100. Let's hope I do not have to post much updates. This only means nice and stable currency rates.

It has been long time since I updated my How's da Dough weblog. It was simply because no big changes in currency rates happened. Funny thing today. Today you get more than ¥100 yen for $1. It becomes more interesting to buy stuff overseas.

Christmas 2012
I saw this currency rates last Thursday, but forgot to out it on my weblog. That are nice looking rates. I hope the currencies will devellop this way next year.
Back to today's rate's. Not much spectacular, although the US$ dropped a bit, until just above $1.32 per €1.00It's good the Euro went up a bit since a few months ago. I reserved two watches in Japan. All inclusive price was ¥45500. I added a little for the seller, so he can buy a beer on my cost next time he visits a bar. So I paid
Total price: ¥46000
Conversion Rate (Payal): €1.00 = ¥106.934
Charged from my bank account: €430.17.

Week 50, Weekend December 15 /16 2012
After a little peak in September the Euro dipped just under $1.29, but it seems now the Euro will stick above the $1.31. Also important to me, the Euro is also almost ¥110. I'm used to calculate myself rich by just subtracting two zeroes from the end (¥10000 = €100), but this year most of the time this wasn't the case, as Paypal does uses a less favorable rate. It's a pity, as I have bought some quite expensive G-Shock watches this year (Frogman, Bape). Let's hope the Euro will repack a bit of it's strength in 2013.
I bought a two watches at one seller a few weeks ago (Nov 29).Price was ¥22000,
conversion rate Paypal: €1.00 = ¥102.155,
taken from my bank account: €215.36.

I had to pay a new purchase from Japan. Pretty pricey, but luckily the Euro is getting back a little. Still the Paypal rate is much lower.
Two watches were bought in Japan. They were not the cheapest, though it was a very good bargain.
Total price: ¥71000
Conversion rate: €1.00 = ¥95.8669
Paid: €740.61

Not much happened since the last update, but recently I see the Euro crawl slowly higher compared to the US$ and the ¥. Let's hope this is an ongoing trend, as the low Euro was quite nasty in my purchases from Japan and East Asia. It's the 30th Anniversary of G-Shock next year and new Anniversary models are going to be released in Japan. It's quite a difference from the time I got ¥13000 yen for €100, specially as we are talking about models costing ¥47000.

Wednessday June 20th 2012
After a long period with the US$ under 126 and the ¥ under 10000, the Euro seems to gain strength a little again...
Let's hope this trend continues. A pity I have already bought and paid several things in US$ and ¥ lately.

It's still going downhill I'm afraid.
I hope that the Euro will regain control, but I do not expect this to happen soon.
Paid ¥22000 for a watch yesterday, with a rate of €1 = ¥95.50
It cost me €230.36

Haven't updated for a while. Too busy with other blogs and other things. Since the Euro is now in some heavy weather, it might be good to start reporting again from time to time.
This doesn't look too good. The Euro is dropping compared to the Yen and US Dollar rapidly. The Euro is under the ¥10000 now.

I have some things I want to buy in Japan. That's going to cost me a lot...

A new crisis is at hand, according to the news. You might expect wild changes at the currence rates. Well, tha past month nothing really exiting happens.
I think nothing much shocking has happened.
No real exciting purchases. I was on holidays ;-)

Long time no need to post. The Euro/Dollar rate was just oscillating around 1.43 for a long time. There seem to be questions about the financial status of Italy. Enough to let the Euro/Dollar drop under 1.40.
I got myself an iPhone 4. It gives bigger screenshots :-)
A lot recent transactions:
June 3: iPhone Microphone/headphone adapter (SmartTalk): £12,78
Rate: €1 = £0,862348
Paid: €€14,82
June 15, T-Shirts: ¥4800,
Rate: €1 = ¥112,75,

June 19: Watch: $101.-

July 6: Watch: $229

Well, we had a high Euro for a while, but things have changed. While there are good prospects in the US and not that good in Europe make the Euro loose fast on the US$ and a bit on the Japanese ¥ too. Luckily I have bought a quite expensive G-Shock last week, with the good rate.
The G-Shock I mentioned above is was bought on May 4th. Not the most ideal time to buy, because it was located in japan and it was Golden Week last week (a whole week of public holidays).
Price of the watch: US$259,99
Currency rate by Paypal: €1 = US$1,44527 (probably the highest in the past time)
Transaction from my bank: €179,89
Let's hope the Euro does not drop to drastically and rather crawl up again (for me).
